Experimenting with silhouette, proportion and texture, my wearable art pieces explore themes of nostalgia and fantasy. Using tinsel as the key material in the works, each garment is custom made to order and sewn with thousands of luminous tinsel strands. My signature piece is the much coveted ‘tinsel jacket’.
Creating work for clients across the globe, many of these pieces have been collected by notable performers and artists including Kesha, Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Show, The Office), Susie Bubble, Dannii Minogue, Kate Miller-Heidke, Justine Clarke, and Kim Chi (Ru Paul’s Drag Race). Pieces have also been created for use in feature films and television series including DYNASTY (Netflix, 2018),POSE (fx, 2018), and Animals (2019) starring Alia Shawkat.
Through a process of hand threading thousands of strands of tinsel, I have created immersive tinsel installations for clients including West Elm, Pottery Barn, Alaska Air, ACMI, Westfield, Molten Store, Melbourne Central, and Real Living Magazine.

I have extensive experience in creating unique craft projects for client events and publication, custom order, and for my own self-devised art practice. Many of my projects are wearable, vibrant pieces that allow for self expression and easy construction.
I also host a youtube channel Tinsel Town, showing people how to create these pieces for themselves.
In my second book, Be Dazzling (published by Hardie Grant, 2018) I show you all the tricks of my trade: flowers, tinsel, gems, pompoms and bedazzling galore! The projects are easy – no sewing or knitting skills required. Teaching you how to achieve maximum cuteness for minimum effort, Be Dazzling brings a splash of razzle-dazzle to daily life.
Up-cycled furniture is given new life with a tinsel makeover. Contact email@example.com for a quote and chance to own your own unique piece (just like Miley Cyrus).
My Little Pony
Working closely with My Little Pony, I created jackets inspired by the characters Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie for their 35th Anniversary celebration event.
Attendees were given the opportunity to wear one of the custom jackets and have their photo taken in a photo booth extravaganza.
In August 2018, I collaborated with ACMI to create a capsule collection of Tinsel garments and a ‘tinsel takeover’ of the gallery, inspired by their Wonderland exhibition.
As part of our collaboration, I also completed a weeklong residency with ACMI, where I hosted bedazzling workshops, book signings, and created custom works for the ACMI store.
Working with luxe retail and food precinct The Galeries I created a tinsel installation, custom wearables, and photo-wall opportunity to celebrate the festive season.
Inspired by the vibrancy of the Australian band SHEPPARD, I created tinsel costumes for their film clip Coming Home. View the complete video here.
Working together with Australian label Ivy Niu, we produced a limited-edition collection, featuring the Blossom print and tinsel wearables.
Ivy Niu transformed my sketched, floral scribbles, into pastel illustrations and applied them to some of the brand’s signature silhouettes.
Working with magazines including Frankie, Smith Journal, Peppermint, Material Girl, Coco Indie and more, I have executed dozens of fashion editorial stories.
From initial creative concept development through to execution of a carefully planned brief, I work with photographers and editors to create unique images that tell a story and bring garments to life.
Bad Art Night
Bad Art Night is an event I created to encourage loose creativity and self expression, without the pressure of creating something ‘good’.
Popping up in spaces around Australia, this event is a real favourite of mine! If you are interested in hosting a Bad Art Night - get in touch!
Shrine to past
Shrine To Past Selves Loved and Lost is a public artwork honouring and remembering the past versions of ourselves that we say goodbye to as we venture into adulthood.
Consisting of hundreds of paper tags decorated with messages of advice/reflection/or simple statements of memory from the community, the work is built on a foundation of foraged branches from Brisbane suburbia.

Apomogy is an ongoing community art project about saying sorry with a pom pom. Launched in 2015,the project now features thousands of submissions of anonymous apology from around the world.
Apomogy has been exhibited in intimate gallery spaces around Australia, including The Redlands Art Gallery (Queensland, 2018), GAFFA (Sydney, 2016), Enough Space (Melbourne, 2017) and The Print Bar (Brisbane, 2015).
In 2018, the first Apomogy zine was released featuring works created by artists from a range of disciplines who have used the project for creative stimulus.
In 2017 I completed a TEDx Talk on the project which can be viewed here.
The Magical Mundane
The Magical Mundane is a personal art project that uses decorative, assemblage techniques to transform everyday products and objects into glorified works of art.
In 2018, The Magical Mundane was activated for Brisbane City Council’s artist-in-residence program at The Pod in an exhibition showcase and series of public workshops and tie-in events.
Splendour In the Grass
Since 2014 I have worked with Splendour In the Grass Festival to co-host Splendour in the Craft as resident Craft Captain alongside Patience Hodgson.
Hosting dozens of workshops and entertaining hundreds of daily visitors to the Craft Tent, the event has become a mecca for keen crafters far and wide.
